The Ball[]

The Ball is the main mechanic of Blade Ball. If it hits you, you are eliminated from the round. But if you block it, it is deflected towards the player nearest to your cursor.

Behavior:[]

When the round starts, the ball will be in the center of the map at 0 speed, targeting a random player. Over time, it accelerates to faster and faster speeds. If it isn't targeted, you cannot hit the ball, and it will be gray. If it is targeting you, it will become red and will start moving towards you until you block it. When someone dies from the ball, it respawns with the same conditions as the start of the round.

Parrying[]

Parrying is the main function of the game, in which you will activate a shield on your character. While this shield is active (500 ms), if the ball contacts you, it will bounce off and target the next person, slightly increasing its speed. There are a few abilities that also count as a block, including: Raging Deflect, Rapture, Forcefield, Death Slash .

Abilities[]

Abilities are fundamental parts of Blade Ball. Each ability has its own effect, which can turn the tables in a match if used right. Some abilities can increase your speed, make you jump high, or even teleport! For more information on each ability, visit the abilities page!

How to get abilities[]

Most abilities cost ' Coins Coins' and need quite a bit of training to be properly used. You start with a Dash as the first ability you own.

How do you upgrade abilities (' Coins')[]

Abilities that are bought from the shop can be upgraded with Coins Coins'. Every ability that can be upgraded with coins can be upgraded twice. The cost of the first upgrade will always be half of the cost to unlock the ability (EX: Super Jump's unlock cost is 300 Coins', and the first upgrade for it costs 150 Coins'). The second upgrade will be the unlocked, and more money will be needed for the 2nd upgrade, the 2nd upgrade has the same price of buying the ability itself. (Super Jump's unlock cost is 300 Coins', and so is its second upgrade [' 300 Coins']). To remember this easily, The upgrade order is like: Base cost, half of base cost, base cost.

How do you upgrade abilities (Daily Wheel Spin, Robux' and Pumpkins Event abilities. ')[]

Some abilities cannot be upgraded, and they are normally earned from different means (Pumpkins Events and Robux Packs). The only ability that does not follow this rule is Phantom, which can be upgraded with a M78uhu8h9h9astery Coin.

Strategies[]

Clashing[]

Clashing

Clashing, is a technique that most people use to clear out a person and is mainly used for standoff battles. It involves 2 people going near each other and parring non-stop until one of them dies in defeat by either clicking too early, late, or not at all.

Pressured Clashing[]

Pressured Clashes are when a player try to force a clash with another player, commonly in the intent of getting a kill. When the ball targets their prey, they will usually follow behind the ball, so they deflect the ball onto the target as soon as they deflect it.

Staying Alone[]

You should never go near groups of people unless they are your trusted friends; going near groups of people that are currently fighting could lead you to getting hit (whether intentional or not). Staying near groups of people shortens your response time to click as you are near enemies, which they could deflect the ball at you at any second. Staying alone provides more response time as well as future conflicts with enemies. Although staying alone rarely gets kills, if you feel like the ball is going too fast or you just feel insecure, you should stay alone and try to avoid a conflict with a person until the ball has killed someone.

Assisted killing and getting out of pressured clashes[]

When dealing with a player that pressures a clash you dont want to be part in, you can try to deflect it to another person with your mouse/finger by moving it to face the other player near them in hopes that the enemy will block early due to instinct and the other person can deflect the ball to the enemy and kill them. This is rare because the other person could deflect it to another person and not your enemy, or the person can just deflect the ball to you again, so you need to keep a watch on the ball in case that happens. The person can also react too slowly and get killed, thus resetting the ball, and you can try getting out of a conflict that way.

Curving[]

The most efficient mechanic in the game by far is curving. When your camera is set in a specific direction, parrying the ball will make it go in that direction (EX: reflecting the ball while your camera is aimed left will send the ball left.) You can do this in any direction, backward, upwards, and any you can think of. With this in mind, you can use curving to break the rhythm of the ball, even if just temporarily. (EX: Curving the ball behind you when clashing at fast speeds can trip up your opponents into misclicking.) How to have a high chance of winning clashes
